Pretenders Available September 2008

Calgary, AB – September, 2008 - Edge Science Fiction and Fantasy announces Pretenders, by Lynda Williams released to major retail bookstores such as Barnes &, and Chapters, and directly from the publisher:

Part 3 of the Okal Rel Saga, Pretenders is the fourth book published in the popular series, and another great Canadian addition to the Edge Publishing library. The trade paperback novel follows The Courtesan Prince (Okal Rel Saga Part 1, 2005), Righteous Anger (Part 2, 2007), and precedes Throne Price (Part 4, 2004).

Back from exile, Ev’rel must play the frail princess to claim the throne of Sevildom. Tempted by her feelings for her ex-mentor, Di Mon, Ev’rel must work out whether she loves or hates the man. Disillusioned by Ev’rel’s warped sexuality, Di Mon, works his own agenda to secure Ev’rel as leader, while burdened with equally perverse secrets. Meanwhile, Ayrium, a rebellion member, has been ordered to put away her sword and win allies to her cause using more seductive means than she’s comfortable with. Will her inconvenient love interest in a strange scholar from Monitum suit everyone else’s plans for her?

Author Lynda Williams lives in beautiful British Columbia, Canada, where she is hard at work on the Okal Rel epic. 10 books are planned in total. Okal Rel, or ‘swords-in-space’ represents a belief system designed to balance the sustainability of life in the universe with personal ambitions, good or evil.

Born and currently residing in Prince George, B.C., Lynda pursues an MA in English, to complement her three post-secondary degrees and her special interest in the Science Fiction genre.
