Amigos Library Services attains IACET accreditation

DALLAS, TX, August 7, 2008 – Amigos Library Services, Inc. now offers International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) Continuing Education Units for its approved online and face-to-face training courses.

IACET Authorized Provider status enhances the value for Amigos’ highly regarded training courses. “The widely recognized IACET accreditation demonstrates our commitment to a high standard of quality continuing education,” says Laura Kimberly, Amigos Continuing Education Services Manager.

Amigos’ continuing education programs offer courses that cover an array of topics important to libraries: from reference and technical services to preservation, management, and technology. With prestigious IACET accreditation, Amigos is now able to offer CEUs in addition to “contact hours” for successful completion of qualifying courses.

IACET provides standards for continuing education programs and promotes high-quality education with criteria and guidelines that address the processes for designing, developing, and delivering continuing education and training. This high quality educational standard can be identified by the IACET logo on all qualifying Amigos courses.
