In cooperation with the International Society for Media, Religion and Culture (ISMRC), international publisher Brill has launched the Journal of Religion, Media and Digital Culture (RMDC). The journal is another valuable addition to Brill’s expanding lists in Social Sciences and Religion. International publisher Brill launches a new journal, Bamboo and Silk, co-edited by Professor CHEN Wei at Wuhan University, China, and Professor Edward L. Shaughnessy at The University of Chicago, USA.

Submissions are now being accepted for the second annual SEE-IT™ Award. SEE-IT stands for Stories Engagingly Expressed-Illustratively Told. The SEE-IT Award is an annual book award given in partnership by EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) and the Graphic Novel Committee of the Children’s Book Council (CBC) to honor the outstanding achievements of authors and illustrators in youth graphic novels. Publishers are encouraged to submit titles for award consideration by March 9, 2018.

PROVO, Utah, October 6, 2017 –– Backstage Library Works (www.bslw.com) has begun production on a massive RFID tagging project for the East Baton Rouge Parish Library. The project is part of the library’s conversion to a unified RFID inventory system, which upon completion, will deliver greater accuracy in circulation and inventory while making library staff more available to patrons. Backstage will tag over 1.9 million barcoded items contained in fourteen library branches, one outreach services facility, and an external storage facility.

BETHLEHEM, Pa., September 28, 2017 – Backstage Library Works (www.bslw.com) officially opened the new wing of their office in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The expansion adds 2,800 square feet of office space. The new addition will accommodate Backstage’s growing Metadata and Digitization teams, enabling them to gear up quickly and efficiently for incoming projects.
