(Calgary) EDGE Science Fiction and Fantasy Publishing is pleased to announce that EDGE author Barbara Galler-Smith has accepted the invitation to be "Editor" Guest of Honor at Keycon 2011, Winnipeg's Science Fiction and Fantasy Convention, May 20th - 22nd, 2011.

Barbara has been asked to be one of the GOHs in recognition for her work on On Spec magazine, where she has been an editor for the last 3 years.

Australia’s Fremantle Press recently purchased the rights to “Time Machines Repaired While-U-Wait” by Australian K. A. Bedford. The rights were purchased from EDGE Science Fiction and Fantasy Publishing, an imprint of Hades Publications Inc.

(Calgary, Canada) Hades Publications announced today that the K. A. Bedford’s newest science fiction novel Time Machines Repaired While-U-Wait has just been nominated for Australia’s prestigious Aurealis Award.

K. A. Bedford celebrated his newest science fiction novel earlier this fall with a bang and a tour. He made appearances at the World Science Fiction Convention in Denver Colorado and was the Guest of Honor at ConVersion in Calgary Alberta. Time Machines Repaired While-U-Wait is unlike his other three releases: Orbital Burn, Eclipse, and Hydrogen Steel.

The article, which spread over two pages, was the beginning of a media blitz bringing attention to one of Calgary's best kept secrets.
