Farmington Hills, Mich., Jan. 8, 2013 — Gale, part of Cengage Learning and a leading publisher of research and reference resources for libraries, schools and businesses, today announced the launch of National Geographic: People, Animals, and the World, a new multimedia resource in its National Geographic Virtual Library (NGVL) product line. This new resource joins National Geographic Magazine Archive, 1888-1994 and National Geographic Magazine Archive, 1995-Current (launched this past fall), bringing the total number of available NGVL resources to three.

The deadline is approaching for libraries interested in submitting entries for the first-ever LibraryAware Community Award. Submissions must be postmarked by February 1st. The LibraryAware Community Award recognizes cities and towns and their libraries, or library systems, that have demonstrated their ability to make the community aware of what the library can do for them—and have delivered on that promise. IPSWICH, Mass. — January 3, 2013 —The African American Historical Serials Collection™ from EBSCO Publishing, developed in collaboration with the American Theological Library Association (ATLA), has been named an Outstanding Academic Title by Choice Magazine.

North Bethesda, MD, December 27, 2012- LibLime, a division of PTFS, announces that four new school libraries in the Rocky View School District (Alberta, Canada) have officially gone live on LibLime Koha. WG Murdoch School, Langdon School, Prairie Waters Elementary School, and Chestermere High School are the newest schools to go-live on LibLime Koha.

North Bethesda, MD –December 19, 2012 – LibLime, a division of PTFS, announces that Western Nebraska Community College (WNCC), a member of the Pioneer Library Consortium, has successfully migrated to and gone live on LibLime Koha 4.14.

After joining the Pioneer Consortium and LibLime Koha in May 2012, Western Nebraska Community College staff worked with LibLime project management staff on data migration from its legacy Follett Destiny ILS, system configuration, and training.

LibLime, a division of PTFS, announces that Arapahoe Public Library (Nebraska) has chosen LibLime Koha as their next generation ILS to replace their legacy system. Arapahoe Public Library joins the Pioneer consortium in using LibLime Koha for all collection and patron management services.
