Farmington Hills, MI and Washington, D.C., Feb. 28, 2013 — Gale, part of Cengage Learning and a leading publisher of research and reference resources for libraries, schools and businesses, and the Smithsonian Institution today announced a licensing agreement to distribute Smithsonian assets into the library and academic space.

The June 2013 American Library Association Annual will feature author Cynthia Lynn's 5 star literary fiction THE HAUNTING AND PARADISE TAXI (ISBN 9780615685434) in the "print title showcase." North Bethesda, MD, February 20, 2013- LibLime, a division of PTFS, announces Fort Scott Public Library has joined the SEKnFind union catalog and is live on the system.

Fort Scott Public Library is a member of the Southeast Kansas Library System (SEKLS). SEKLS serves member libraries in over 60 communities in Southeast Kansas and several of those members participate in the SEKnFind union catalog.

The new literary fiction print THE HAUNTING AND PARADISE TAXI ISBN 9780615685434 author, Cynthia Lynn, has travel books in Libraries worldwide according to WorldCat.org. Her newest travel series NO MORE HOTELS will be published as E-books. She is writing the first E-book NO MORE HOTELS IN PARIS and the second book NO MORE HOTELS IN ROME, and both E-books are expected to be published in late 2014 on KINDLE and KOBO.

Wayne County Public Library System has gone live on Evergreen as part of the NC Cardinal consortium. Equinox Software oversaw both data migration and staff training. ESI will also continue to provide on-going system administration and technical support for the entire consortium.

OCLC Research and the Association for Library and Information Science Education (ALISE) have awarded research grants to Lynne Bowker of the University of Ottawa, Kyung-Sun Kim of the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and Sei-Ching Joanna Sin of Nanyang Technological University and Sanghee Oh of Florida State University. The awards were presented January 24 at the ALISE 2013 Annual Conference Awards Reception in Seattle, Washington.
